Posted By John Fraser Michael You can do the NEBOSH Dip via distance learning which works out cheaper than day release around 2.5 K, however distance learning is a lot tougher than attending college via day release. John

Posted By jeanne fairbrother Hi Michael, Wirral Metropolitan College at their Carlett Park Campus do the course, I am currently studying there , it costs approx 3k but you can pay by installment and the standard of teaching is excellent. I have previously used distance learning and would not recommend it, especially for the Diploma , which has alot of content. Lectures are a definite plus, as is the ability to talk to other students. Godd luck with it! Jeanne

Posted By peter tickner Yes certainly, University of the West of England in Bristol do a god day release NEBOSH diploma, and NEBOSH themselves should be able to provide you with a list of diploma providers. These courses are far better than distance learning, particularly at this level, since you get some sense of perspective and wider feedback and interaction, and can talk directly and regularly to others who either a)know the stuff that you havent yet covered on the course, and b0 are doing the same stuff, but in different workplaces and can explain about items that you do not find familiar from your own work.

Posted By John Fraser Michael As I said earlier NEBOSH Dip distance learning is tough, but you also learn self reliance / responsibility ( i.e no one there to spoon feed you ) and that ultimately the only person that can pass the exam is yourself. However this is irrespective on what mode of learning you do - distance / day release / block. If you can do the dip day release you should probably take it - although it will work out expensive ( depending on the training provider )compared to distance learning in my opinion if you / employer are funding. Posted By Edward Blanchard I also went to North Notts in the 90s for the, then, 4 modules. I did over 80 miles round trip. Some of my fellow students did over double that mileage for day release. The standard of tuition was good and the exam results above average. The handouts could have been improved upon. The fees were very competitive. On that basis I would recommend.
