Posted By cdthomas Hi everyone, I have the NEBOSH Cert and I am desperate to break into the H & S industry which is proving harder than I first thought. In-order to enhance my chances I will be continuing my studies next year. I will be studying the C&G 7303 in January, followed by the Fire Safety Certificate in March, I have applied for lots of jobs but to no avail, I have also wrote to consultants asking for voluntary work but as yet nothing. I have always worked in the manufacturing/warehousing sector albeit it on the shop-floor, so feel this is where my forte lies. Ideally I want to go on to study the Diploma, however I am currently unemployed so really can't afford it at the moment although I have applied for a career development loan. I live in Cleethorpes but am prepared to travel or lodge during the week to enable me to work as far afield as the Sheffield/Nottingham areas. I have posted a few items previously and I thank the people that have helped my thus far. Has anyone got anymore ideas which would increase my chances-I really believe I would make a good H & S person, i just need 1 chance to prove myself. Please help regards chris

Posted By MP Grayson Ah good old Cleethorpes. Happy memories of a misspent youth whilst based at RAF Binbrook (now Brookenby) in the 80's and staggering (zig-zagging) along the sea front at 2am. With the risk of teaching you to suck eggs. Have you tried assistant positions at Immingham? Crack on.
