Hi.

I am looking into moving to Vancouver in Canada. I have the Nebosh Diploma and working in the construction industry with 10 years experience. I understand out in Canada legislation varies from state to state and i was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of legislation and what standard of qualifications employers would be looking for in British Columbia.

Many thanks. I appreciate your help.

Hi Carolyn

The 'bible' for BC OH&S is refered to as the 'blue book'. You can buy it from the website listed below. It's quite expensive but if you do end up in Vancouver I'm sure you'll use it!

I also found this website quite useful when I was doing a bit of H&S research before a visit to Vancouver earlier this year.

Best of luck with the move - Vancouver's a beautiful city I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
