Posted By dave cameron I don't know if this is strictly correct forum but I am very keen to discuss and see how health and safety practice is carried out in other sectors. I work in Norfolk but in an animal/agricultural sector and would really, as part of my development to increase my breadth of knowledge, like the opportunity to visit different working environments e.g. construction, food industry, commercial, anything considered really. Just a day or a couple of days in each to get a flavour of the problems, solutions, pressure of work, time, finance etc would be of great help and to be able to discuss with company health and safety officers/managers. Do do you suggest just contacting various companies direct to request a visit or is there any one out there who could suggest a better way?

Posted By Linda Westrupp Do you go to your local branch meetings? If so, some of the other members might be able to help and it's always more productive talking to people face to face. I have found that most colleagues are very keen to help in other's development and often this can be a two way arrangements allowing both to add to their CPD. Good luck Linda
