In need of a health & safety assistants position

I have just completed my NEBOSH national general certificate in health & safety and dont get my results untill the 01/06/09. i am trying to find an entry level position anywhere in the U.K. I was made redundant October 2008 and funded the course myself. I have worked in retail for many years in management and also in warehouse/storage at management level. I am hardworking and just want to get started in health & safety, i live in manchester but am willing to relocate if needs be, if anyone can help me at all that would be appreciated.

Have been in that situation myself and it can be frustrating. Registered with many agencies and was eventually succesful - the new employer was prepared to take on regardless of results and were prepared to assist with re-sit if necessary. Fortunatly the result was positive and they have actually progressed me through to studying for my diploma. Be opened minded and remember that your skills can be transfered across many industries! Good Luck
