I am looking for a start within health and safety and would be grateful to be considered for a junior/ trainee position. I appreciate that there are a shortage of vacancies that meet this criteria but neither the less I am posting in hope. I am NEBOSH certificate qualified and intend to further my studies once in a H&S role. I live in the North East of England, however I am willing to travel or possibly relocate.

With regards to studying the NEBOSH Diploma, as is my intention, I am curious if there is any pre-study reading material which may be helpful to me now. I am unemployed and subsequently can ill afford to fund the diploma at present, however I can spend the time wisely reading useful literature, notes etc.

Also, just quickly, when I am seeking employment and calling organisations should I request to speak to personnel or the H&S department manager?

Thanks,

Jon
