Only advice I can give is to contact local companies and offer your services on a voluntary basis. Most Safety Officers would jump at the chance of getting free labour!

I did this for 3 companies over the course of a year and eventually was very lucky to gain employment as a health & safety coordinator after applying for a job advertised.

I dont even hold a diploma (although I am studying it). Had I not the experience under my belt I would have had no chance.

I simply identified organisations within a 20 mile radius and starting calling them up....dont get if you dont ask.

Good luck.
