You've answered you're own question. Start knocking on doors volunteering your time to assist organisations safety departments.

You'll be surprised how many companies like free labour, and you'll get the experience you most defo need.

win / win situation.

Tough times for safety people and good times for company enrolling them Diploma holders ready to work in place of certificate holders. So Michael think how do it.

Hi Buddy!

Not a good time at the minute when as already stated CMIOSH people on the dole and cannot get a sniff especially north of Watford! I would use the slack period wisely if your serious about a safety profession and enrol on a diploma course. Your time will come eventually.

Good luck

Hi Mike,
I myself have just gained employment within the H & Safety sector after four and a half years of constant applying. I had just gained my Nebosh general when i first started searching for a position, unfortunately i had the same response as yourself ,but i just stuck in there.
I have just recently passed my Nebosh construction and i am currently studying the Nebosh fire safety and risk management course.
My advice to you Mike is never give in ,keep applying and enrol on more relevant courses

As i have always said "YOU WRITE YOUR OWN DESTINY".

Good luck in your pursuit and you only ever fail once you give in.
