Where in my safety statment should i include topics such as bullying, first aid, stress, accident reporting and electricity?

Should i include it in my safety policy or have a seperate section for each? or other.

Some of us address these issues within individual appendices to our H&S policies and support them with risk assessments. Keeping appendices up-to-date and issuing revisions is easier than having to rewrite the entire policy and re-issue it whenever a change is needed. This, however, is one approach. Others will differ.

Barry,

It is usual for the Safety policy to be split into 3 sections.

1.The general policy statement regards outline responsibilities, commitment and shared approach. Normally signed by the most senior responsible person and dated to aid revision.
2.This covers the organisation that is put in place to manage the policy and health and safety. Key people's responsibilities are highlighted here, eg competent person, safety reps etc.
3.This usually contains the arrangements that you mention. Risk assessment, auditing, accident reporting and any other subject that is relevant to your organisation goes in here.
