Does anyone have any information or approriate safety guidance on the safe management and slaughter and disposal of animals within a knackers yard - not industrial. Is there any specific legislation or guidance?

I am sorry Andy but I don't understand the question. You say that you want info on H&S in the slaughter and disposal of annimals in a non industrial setting. Is this just a hobby? You need a licence before you are allowed to slaughter animals and there are specific rules on how this must be done. The HSE has several books on abottior safety and preparing animals for slaughter.
