Hello Folks,
I am hoping some of you may be able to help me in my attempt to put together a short powerpoint presentation on the correct handling and use of compressed gas cylinders. Any info or addresses where I might get good quality info would be greatly appreciated. As a reward for your assistance I will provide you with a copy of the finished presentation. Hope to hear from you soon, in the mean time have a Merry and Safe Xmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
Regards
Frank Macleod

Frank,
There is some HSE Guidance on this. I have copies of INDG308 (Safe use of gas cylinders) which I think is a free publication, and also HSG139 (Safe use of compressed gases in welding, flame cutting and allied processes) which costs £11.50 but is pretty comprehensive.
Hope that this helps. I would be pleased to have a copy of your completed presentation.
Regards,
Brian

Hi Frank,
Can I suggest that you contact your nearest BOC depot. BOC publish a wide range of leaflets etc. on the safe handling of cylinders. They also run training courses on same subject. In the past, before I retired, they provided me with a wide range of material on medical gases. Unfortunately I no longer have copies, but the larger depots should be able to point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps.
Martin.
