Minnery A voluntary organisaton that I am associated with , have just been notified of a planning aplication to erect a 15 metre high telecommunications mast less than 4 metres from the office , naturally there are fears among the employees regarding any possible hazard from this mast . Current legislation forbids the siting of these masts in close proximity to schools , there is obviously a reason for this , can anyone help with any information relating to the safety or hazard of telecommunications masts in or near the workplace , bearing in mind the approximate 4 metre distance . Posted By Jack Have a look at the Stwart Report. Its available on-line at http://www.iegmp.org.uk/IEGMPtxt.htm I don't think base stations near schools is "forbidden". From memory, the Stewart Report recommended that Governors should be consulted first.
