Posted By Ken Taylor I'm not aware of any published life-expectancy. It probably depends upon the nature of the wood, construction, storage and use. Regular inspection and records are called for and the old ladder register principle is still a good one.

Posted By Ian Hutchings As far as I am aware ladders are mentioned in the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. As mentioned previously a pre-work inspection routine should be instigated. Ian
