Hi Folks
WE have a number of full body safety harness's that are in good condition and that we would like to use. However, I am finding it diffucult to locate the certificate of conformity for each harness. Can anyone advise on whether they can be put into service without the C of C record as long as there is an inspection regime by a competent person?
much obliged
Jim

Contact the manufacturer. Some manufacturers recommend a 'shelf life' for the harnesses, for example P&P state 6 years in their blurb.
If you provide the serial numbers they should be able to state age of the harnesses (i.e date of manuafcture) and give you guidance on use, or not, as the case may be.
Hope this helps...

- and if you cannot achieve this (eg supplier gone out of business) certificated inspections by a specialist and competent outside body would seem to be the next option.
