Is there anyone going to the conference as I am on their own who would like to meet up for a chat/drink during the day - I really am not sure who is going but some friendly company would be nice.

I'm not going to this particular conference, but I think your idea is brilliant. I frequently go to exhibitions/seminars without knowing anybody else present, and always come away thinking I could have got more out of it if only I'd had someong to stroll around with.
