Posted By Richard Forster I am compiling guidance for schools on risk assessing staff etc who may work at heights from time to time. Not wishing to re invent the wheel - does anyone have decent sources for information? I have produced a guide note on ladders and steps but I need to widen the topic as it where. Cheers...

Posted By Ken Taylor I tend to rely upon the range of CITB material on this subject and use a couple of their video packages for training. We state that school staff must not work at a fall height in excess of 2m (to allow use of kick-stools, library steps, short step-ladders and the like)without having had training. We also maintain ladder registers.
