They produce just such a thing, with a gatekeeping function that allows the e.forms to be vetted before they are dumped onto the main database. I am looking at purchasing this system for an acute hospital with 140 discrete departments who I anticipate will all report in this way - fingers crossed! If it is anything like their other packages - I currently have Complaints, Litigation and Incident systems - it should be excellent.

Posted By Philip McAleenan Ann, Norton Waugh have produced a very good package which can be used in a variety of ways, and on the company intranet. It has a variety of levels of access from read only access to full input and editing functions. It will also produce statutory reports automatically when inputed data indicates that the accident meets the reporting criteria and will automatically inform you of due dates for reporting unless you input to the system that the report has been forwarded. It will produce statistical and trend reports and graphs. It is suitable for use by large companies with many sites and will integrate with other NW packages, e.g. CoSHH, Auditing. Regards, Philip

Posted By Laurie The easiest and cheapest way is to have the forms on the company intranet as Word templates. They can then be filled in and sent to to a central point as e-mail attachments Laurie

Posted By Charles Ferguson Ann I work in a large unitary authority and would expect have similar problems to your organisation (Email address is the clue). We have recently purchased and are in the process of implementing the launch of Lexware SHE2000 Web Server (INTRANET version) software package. It is a modular base system and we have purchased, along with the basic foundation module, the accident reporting (which includes reminders and production of 2508s) and risk assessment modules. Worth a look. Charles

Posted By Stuart Nagle MS Excel is an excellent medium for recording accidents. Not only can you build a database and have electronic forms, but you can link the recorded accident data to graphs and reports, so as you enter the information (whom ever enters it) it automatically builds the graphics in various formats (pie, bar etc) that it is linked to in the document. I have only recently started to look at this system, having seen some work someone else did, but it's amazing what can do with a little trial and error. Have a go !! Stuart Nagle
