Hi, does anyone have experience of implementing a flu vaccination programme or know of any organisations that offer the service?
I work for a county council and have been tasked with looking into whether to repeat last years method of doing it "in-house" or "buying in" from a company that will handle the whole procedure. Our target group are front line social care employees.
Hoping to hear from anyone with any advice, thanks.

Simon,
Here at Merton we provide flu innoculations to our front-line service and higher risk employees. (Other staff can take it up voluntarily too but they had to pay -£8.50) It is administered by our Occupational Health Nurse. If you want details of cost, suppliers, take up etc. please give me a ring.
Regards
John

Simon,
I work for a large Met.Borough Council & last year we had a two-pronged approach.
Firstly, we advised all employees who fall into certain "risk groups" (as per Dept. of Health guidelines) that they should approach their own GP in late September/October & that vaccinations should be free.
Secondly, all "front line" employees in Soc. Services were offered vaccs. via our external Occ. Health provider.
If you need any further details, please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks for the responses. I have made contact with a company offering the service required, just waiting for a decision from the powers that be before going ahead.
