Can anyone help me, I'm looking for information on the recommended number of air changes per hour that is allowed for areas where chemical manufacturing takes place. I believe there are recommendations re office environments but what about industrial environments? What legal standing does this have, if any?
Can anybody help? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Katie,
General ventilation is not generally acceptable for the control of toxic materials as general ventilation works by diluting substances to an acceptable level; as such it is normally used for small amounts of low toxicity materials, or for flammable materials and for the removal of heat or steam.
Additional information is available in the ACGIH Industrial Manual. This also gives formulaes etc.
I hope this helps.
Many Regards
