Posted By Andy Petrie have you carried out a risk assesmsent for your outdoor workers? If you have identified damage to workers eyes as a hazard then you should provide sunglasses as PPE. You may also need to provide sunscreen and headwear (e.g. baseball caps) to protect your workers from skin cancer and heatstroke. Obviously this all depends on the type and duration fo the work. HSE have a leaflet describing some of the issues with outdoor work in the sun.
