Posted By Stevie We have recently been awarded a contract for litter cleaning on a new development, part of which involves removing litter from 'riprap' ....(apparently this is the 'technical' term for breakwaters using various large rocks between solid ground and sea/loch). The problem (or challenge!!!) we are facing is access for our employees on to and across this 'landscaped' area that. Our risk assessment recommends that we don't litter pick as risk of slip / trip / fall is unacceptable. A meeting has been arranged with client but would be interested in any ideas or suggestion others may have before we attend. Stevie

Posted By Ged Stevie, Another thought about Rap Dancing from personal experience, usually there are some quite extensive rock pools and pockets of deep mud. Rock pools can contain weever fish that are small but really stingus nastius, they hide themselves in the sand and if disturbed turn nasty. Gloves and thick soles would be advisable. On a lighter side a good set of tide tables could come in handy. Ged
