Posted By jane hallett Once a month or so, engineers go on site with small portable welding equipment. Is a simple Hazchem red flammable gas label and a green compressed gas label sufficient for the vehicle? Any advice would be helpful. Jane

Posted By peter gotch Jane, You need to look at the Regs very carefully, or you may well be criticised for putting too much signage on rather than too little. The result could be police and fire brigade refusing to go anywhere near the vehicle in the event of an accident until they are satisfied that they know how much and what dangerous goods are being carried. Regards, Peter

Posted By Jay Joshi Jane, There is guidance that is very useful from British Compressed Gases Association:- "Carriage of Gas Cylinders in Cars, Vans, and other Vehicles Guidance for Drivers at Work". There are no blanket no exemptions from the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations 1996 (as amended), but the more onerous part of the regulations trigger if you are carrying above certain minimum quantities, depending upon the size of the "package" and the total load.
