Posted By Andy Dear all, My knowledge of CDM etc is based on the Gen Cert and is going to be severely tested in a few months. Does anyone have any advice how I can quickly become conversant with the necessary regs/codes etc and all assocaited pitfalls with large construction works. I have read HSG 150 and L54, construction H&S and CDM ACOP. Is there a good guide (including the issues that regs dont cover, 'common pitfalls that every H&S adviser should know') out there somewhere? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance Regards Andy.

Posted By Martyn Hendrie Andy, If you have been reading L54 you should be aware that it has been replaced (since Feb 2002) with HSG 224. The new ACOP is far more user friendly than the original as it is organised according to the duty holders rather than the Regulation numbers. Cost £9.50 ISBN 0 7176 2139 1 Hope this helps.
