Posted By ken Parker Dear All, A brief scenario: A company complains to their landlord that the quality of the air conditioning system is poor and several of the staff are long term sick with ailments they say are caused by the air conditioning. The landlord of the premises employs consultants to undertake an Air Quality Survey. The results of the survey state that the air quality was good. The director of the firm is not happy with the results. What other courses of action etc are open? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Ken Parker

Posted By Adrian Watson Dear Ken, This is not uncommon. One of the greatest problems with the interpretation of monitoring results is that whilst all individual results may be acceptable, together they may be unacceptable because all of the IAQ parameters interact. This can be very problamatic. If you want further information go to the EPA IAQ web site.http://www.epa.gov/iaq/ Regards Adrian Watson

Posted By Jeff Manion If air quality was good, what was the good and to what was it compared? Is there a fresh-air make-up is the system operating correctly - installed as intended etc. RH temp carbon monoxide and carbon dioxie should be checked, perhaps oxygen levels may be low. can green plants be installed they convert Carbon dioxide to oxygen.
