Posted By peter mcmahon Folks a further question re old computer monitors .....instead of diposing of computer monitors to waste, what are the implications of giving them to any staff members who want a free monitor??? It seems better to reuse them than put in landfill. Do we have to ensure that the equipment is tested for electrical safety even if they are free or would a signed disclaimer remove that requirement. My brain is thinking about car boot sales, the selling of electrical equipment and the complete lack of any safety checks.

Posted By Jim Walker Selling it or giving it away, you are still supplying and therefore have a responsibility under the supply of equipment (safety) regs.
