Hi there,
Does anyone know where I will find information relating to court decisions based on previous cases, in particular in relaton to workplace accidents.
Thanks
Joe

Joe,
The easiest way is to look at the full report of a case. It will tell you what cases were used by the judges in their decisions. You can track back from there.
Just as a note, magistrates decisions are not binding on future courts. Court of Appeal cases are binding on lower courts, but not on House of Lords and Lords cases are binding on all lower courts, but not future Lords cases.
If you need information about a specific case, please e-mail me and I will try and help.

If you need general case information and results of prosecutions etc. try Site Safety News published by HSE on a quarterly (i think) basis. If its just general info about current rates of fines etc, this publication is quite good. If you visit the HSE website you can join the circulation list, also view previous issues.
If I can be of any more help, please give me a shout!!

Dear Joe,
If you want to find cases relating to a particular subject go to a good library and ask for current law case citators. These will allow you to identify whether there is a relevant case and will also allow you to determine its current legal position.
