I am running a risk assessment session next Monday for office staff and have been allocated an hour for syndicate exercises for risk assessment.

Does anyone have any syndicate exercises that I could have a look at and pinch their ideas. I have got quite a few training courses on Powerpoint that I am happy to swap.

Thanks,

Eric

Eric,

how about getting them to do a series of related exercises, culminating in some sort of plan of action for them (assuming that this is the purpose of the course), perhaps along the lines of:

1a) identifying what risks exist (in pairs)
1b) grouping these risks into common areas or concerns (whole group together)
2) discussing what could be done to control them (1 risk per group of 3 or 4)
3) deciding what actions are reasonably pracicable (as above)
4) committing to do something about it (whole group again)

With the levels of risk in an office environment, I've found an hour is sufficient for this in the past. Feel free to contact me if you want to talk things through any more.

cheers

Euan
