Can anyone identify what would be contained in this as I've seen things over the past few days that I would not be happy for my employees to carry out (reporting from hotel rooms when bombs landing nearby, in sniper alley and all alone in the desert, not to mention possible exposure to chemicals etc)
I presume that the statutory provisions still apply for employees whilst oversees. Replies from media organisitions may be interesting.
Yeah I know it's my licence fee / subscription that pays for this reporting to take place.

I would comment that just because an activity is a of a dangerous nature, e.g. being in a war zone to report, it does not mean that it cannot be done without what would be regarded as an adequate level of safety (taking the locus in quo in consideration).
Flight may be regarded as inherently dangerous, but flying as a pasenger is regarded as inherently safe, e.g. you are more at risk in a car!!
