Posted By Zoe Barnett Here's one for all of you who want to look busy on a sunny Friday afternoon without doing any work. We've had a reorganisation and as a result I am now working in a new team. This consists of the health and safety adviser; the healthy schools co-ordinator (National Healthy Schools aims to address eight key themes including drugs, physical activity, healthy eating and safety); the out of school hours learning and children's university officer; and the drugs education manager. Quite a mixed bag but there are some significant overlaps between the work and it is making life much easier to have it all as part of one big team. However we don't know what to call ourselves. Ideas so far have been Extra Learning, Learning for Life...but can anyone think of a name that will reflect the whole team and sound good when we answer the phone? It's a real mouthful announcing myself as Drugs Education and Healthy Schools Manager. Ideas gratefully received.

Posted By Hilary Charlton Never mind for all of you who don't live in a sunny area, it's Friday afternoon and absolutely gorgeous down here in East Sussex. Might even pop down to the beach later for a swim! What about simply "Healthy Schools Team" with yourself as "Healthy Schools Manager". Very simple and not particularly snazzy I know but the healthy part encompasses health and safety, drugs and so on and the schools part encompasses the children's university, out of school learning and everything educationally based. It does what it says on the tin.

Posted By Zoe Barnett Thank you all again for the suggestions - we are still discussing the ideas at the moment. The problem is that we need to reflect equally all the aspects of the team's work which is easier said than done. Sadly we can't just be "Healthy Schools" because that's the title of a specific national scheme, and "Phased" was good but won't work on a website where members of the public need to be able to know what we do from our name. Schools Health Improvement Team is unlikely to get past the corporate style guide, although unkind colleagues have suggested it is the most accurate suggestion so far. Hey ho. No doubt inspiration will strike one day...
