Posted By T. Fowler I'd appreciate confirmation of my thinking related to the transfer of mechanical engineering machinary - lathes etc from our existing premises to a new workshop. The manager is worried that he will be forced to buy new equipment because PUWER 10 requires CE marking, amongst other things, and our equipment is quite old and not CE marked. My advice is that PUWER relates to equipment supplied 'for the first time' and that we can transfer ours without fear. Would people agree?

Posted By Chris Turner Providing that the equipment complies with the relevant sections of PUWER, then you have no problems. The equipment needs to conform where ever it is used. regards Chris T
