Posted By Ian Stone Thanks for the response We have changed the locks on the roof door, but we have contractors, moboile phone staff, students and staff all need access at various times. We have lots of aerials and transmiters from students projects, 2 mobile phone masts and carious other experiments. we want to have something in place to control the access, so that we can make sure none of the transmiters are going whilst we have people up there etc.Something like a permit to work

Posted By Steve Robinson Hi Ian, The only way you can ensure that the mobile phone transmitters are turned of is by asking the operator to provide an outage. This is easier said than done. Other control methods are to ensure that people accessing the roof areas have been trained in rooftop awareness, RF radiation, rooftop restarint systems etc. Hope this helps a bit. Steve Robinson.
