Posted By Joanne Laing Does any one have any information relating to the use of company mobile phones while driving? i.e. are polices required? What type of hands free kits are acceptable? etc. Also, what regulations from a H&S point of view would this come under? Any help would be appreciated.

Posted By Jay Joshi The most authoritative information on the finer points of what is covered in the proposed legislation is in the form of a Department for Transport "Decision letter" after the consultation. The website is:- http://www.dft.gov.uk/st.../dft_rdsafety_508356.pdf Yes, you will require explicit company policies to ensure that you as an employer do not "cause or permit" the offence to take place.
