Help please. I have been asked to put together a training package covering all there is to know about falls from heights and associated legislation. This package will be used to help educate people both doing the work and managing it, in how to do it correctly and so prevent any more falls!
If any one has a presentation, rough program of topics to be covered or other information that will be useful please share it with me (and any one else reading this topic).
Also once it is complete I will be happy to share it as well.
I'll forward my e-mail as requested to pass information.

Hi Simon,
you havn't specified what particular tasks you will be carrying out. As there is a massive amount of info to be taken into account when looking at falls from height, i would have thoght it would be better to target on particular working tasks. if you want to make your presentataion simple then tell people "not to work from height" as that is the first and most important control measure. please let me know what working areas you need info for and i will be able to provide more info.

Thanks for your response and helpful comments. At the moment this presentation is not very specific apart from working at heights. Areas that will be covered are general principles such as law, duty of care, mobile scaffold towers, MWEP, scaffolding and working in high places. Sorry to be so vague but this course if designed to raise general standards in an industry where is couldn't be lower and a lot of work at heights takes place.

A good start might be to check out the freely available HSE Falls From Height Action pack. It may give you ideas of some themes to expand on.
I must say I am a little concerned that you are perhaps being asked to train on an area that you are not overly familiar with yourself?
