Posted By Jennifer Kelly I work on a large railway project with a multinational workforce. I am currently gathering together all the H&S qualifications held by members of the team but I currently have no way of comparing or benchmarking them againist UK qualifications. Is there anyway I can do this? Is this type of information already collated somewhere? Any pointers would be gratefully received. Thanks Jennifer

Posted By Jay Joshi Jennifer, Are you referring to all potential qualifications for Safety Practitioners or all qualifications under the general heading of safety ?? I guess it is possible to compile a dossier for the former, but it will be a huge task & effort for the latter. There is an Outline Map on Competence, Training and Certification on the HSE website that provides a top/high level structure. http://www.hse.gov.uk/policy/outline.htm I have e-mailed you a brief I have recently compiled that brings together in a single document all the facets of qualifications for Safety Practitioners. I have tried to include all players and their roles, i.e. QCA, EMPNTO & NVQ's, Professional Bodies such as IOSH & IIRSM, University Qualifications through QAA, NEBOSH, BSC etc. I compiled this after realising that there isnt such a document easily available.
