I just thought I'd share the following description of an accident which ocurred in one of our schools, which may make you smile for a moment today....

"Examples of acrylic ring designs were shown to the girls. Kelly pushed one onto her finger and was unable to remove it. the finger became swollen, so her parents took her home and had it cut off!"

Whatever next...

Tracey, I too get some light relief from information received on incident report forms. How about some of these -
walked into an undetected shed,
elevated and dressed myself as a first aider,
hurt left humorous area,
caught fingers in hinge of door, fingers removed by myself (Owwwch!)
blood sugar level checked and examined for signs of bruising,
chipped upper tooth above right eyebrow,
AND (I really like this one)
I am the first aider, so I gave myself advice.
It is little snippets like these that make the day seem not quite so bad after all!

and how about...

'What the electrician was doing with his screwdriver was gross male practice....'

or, when completing an inurance form for a lady who suffered serious lacerations when a lavatory pan collapsed under her... 'was there any paperwork associated with the job... had the paperwork been completed satisfactorily?'

or, from a supervisor of a man who failed to wash his hands before going to the loo, and suffered very painful burns as a result 'In future, this man will wear protective.'

these are genuine examples, and, yes, its good to smile now and again..
