Can anybody help with general advice on insurance and car parks. We are shortly to be relocating our car parking from off site to on site where there are significant fork truck and HGV movements. (Yes we have done a workplace transport risk assessment)
Concerns have been raised about how private car owners stand with regard to their vehicle being damaged by these vehicles.
Although we are having proper car parks built the concern is about us being on private land etc and the no liability bit.

Occupiers Liability mate, if its on site with no 'public' access then 'occupier' could be held responsible.
If not then all park outside where your insurance is valid!!

Thanks for the reply Dave. Where can I find the information that confirms this? I need to put a strong case to management who are currently absolving responsibility.
