Any advide on the content of risk assessment for childrens playgrounds?

Rospa have a playground inspector who you could chat with. They also have a publication called developing a children's playground. You might find the BS a bit too deep for the most part and part 7 guidance on inspection, maintenance and operatioin a bit too light! One of the main issues, apart from splinters and sharp edges is the safe height for a child to fall. As a general guide 1.5m is reckoned to be the max, however if very young children are involved that has always seemed a bit high to me.
