Posted By Lee Thompson Afternoon all,
Our local authority is currently working on our emergency planning. I am trying to find out whether there is any figures/information on the mimimum space per person/maximum people per square feet for sleeping arrangements in an emergency scenario.
If any one would be able to shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Lee

Posted By Gary May In the event of a major incident being declared - The Local Authority would work with the blue light services carrying out a dynamic risk assessment - as it would be an emergency situation a survivor / reception / rest centre would be opened - this would be the filter, giving further time to assess.
In short no dimensions or measurements apply, the main consideration is the suitability of the premisis as an emergency centre.
