Posted By Peter Lee The trouble with generic assessments are that there may be things that are specific to your workplace thet are missed, uneven roads, blind corners, systems of work etc. Carry out your own Risk assessment using HSG 6 Safety in Working with Lift Trucks. The enforcing authorities would rather see this than a generic assessment taken from another workplace.

Posted By Peter Lee Dave / Robert, Jim didnt ask for a risk assessment form, he asked for standard forklift risk assessment, a slight difference. Jim will no doubt correct me if this was in fact not the case I am not suggesting reinventing the wheel, I was merely offering the advice that generic risk assessments copied / borrowed from other companies may not comply with this requirement of the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 3(1).
