Hey Folks,
I am another one of those people without experience in health and safety, trying my best to secure employment and only have the NEBOSH certificate under my belt. I was thinking of doing the construction certificate as the Diploma is out of my reach until I find employment. I need to learn more to feed my obsession.
I am looking for advice on this topic on whether or not it is a good direction to follow. Also, I do not have a clue as to how much this course would cost. Any advice from all you knowledgable professionals would be fantastic.
Thank you for your time,
John

If you have previous experience in the construction industry, the OLD style construction certificate is a good idea, and a good way to get TechSP status (if you have 2 years previous experience of managing health and safety). Make sure that it is the OLD style certificate (last exams this June), not the new one as this will not give you TechSP status. The certificate will make you very employable in the construction industry at about 25k plus..ish.(esp. in the South East)
I've just taken my construction cert and can recommend it as a supplement to the general cert if you have the construction experience.
Hope this helps.
