Posted By Mark White I have recently taken a position with a firm of insurance brokers, a number of whose clients are mobile crane operators. This is new ground to me and I am looking to try and find out "Best Practice" in relation to a suitable Health & Safety Policy. One specific client last updated their policy a number of years ago and need to update for a number of reasons. Is there anyone who has particular knowledge on this or who would have a copy policy which may be available for review - intention purely self development, best practice and not commercial gain. Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

Posted By Paul Oliver Hi Mark, I would consider purchasing a copy of the crane operators bible: BS7121 Code of Practice for the safe use of cranes, and also the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment REgualtions (LOLER) 1998. I was once a crane operator in a previous life so if you want further info, please feel free to e-mail me. i should be able to answer most of your questions. Cheers Paul
