Does anyone know how they could notify the local fire and rescue service that there is asbestos in their premise in accordance with the recommendation in the CAWR ACOP?

Two options
1.After the preparation of the fire risk assessment for the subject building, forward the assessment to the local brigade for their information about the risk rating and include details of the asbestos survey that you will have prepared.
or
2. I always recommed the preparation of a building information pack for the emergency services to include floor plans, emergency exit routes, service cut-offs, hazardous areas etc. You could include details of the location of ACM's in the pack. The pack is then available to give to the emergency services when they arrive. This works only on 24/7 buildings and if a class 2 / 3 asbestos survey has been carried out.
