Posted By Steve Conway I understand the HSE and police have an agreement on the investigation of driving incidents which may be work related - can anyone direct me to where I can find more details.
Thanks Steve

Posted By Karen Todd Hi Steve, Not what you are looking for but have a look at www.drivecam.comLook at the video clips. I think the way this systems works is that there are front and rear cameras fitted to the vehicles and if there is a rapid acceleration/deceleration then it stores the 20 secs or so before that so you can see how the accident happened and whose fault it was. The agreement is part of the Police National Road Death Investigation Manual, which states;- "If an investigation into a raod death involves consideration of working practices that appear to be illegal or dangerous, or to have been applied negligently, then the SIO (Senior Investigating Officer)will need to establish an immediate liaison with the HSE.
There may be a need for a parallel investigation to be carried out by the HSE."
