Has anyone any experience of using the HSE "stressbusting" tools? We plan to use the surveys downloaded from HSE's website and would welcome learning from any practical experiences of using the tools. In particular, did you target the survey to groups, or did you blanket the whole workforce? Are there any pitfalls that we need to avoid?

We are currently piloting the package in three buildings at one of our sites. We got the Trade Unions involved, which has been a great help in getting responses to the questionnaires. Early indications are that we are all "Green" in one building with the other two buildings having some "reds". Second questionnaire confirmed "reds", focus groups now being held. In addition, looking at sickness absence records has indicated that the level of sick taken in the "green" building, is less that that of the "red" buildings.

I was a bit aprehensive about this survey tool (concerned about rasing the stress issue to the workforce), but would now recommend this tool to anyone.

Shane.
