Posted By Brian McMillan I am currently writing a mini bus use policy from scratch. Areas already covered include driver qualification and experience, maintenance and inspection of vehicles and supervision of passengers. I am currently looking at systems for booking and signing in and out the keys etc. My next step will be to consider individual risks and create assessments to accompany them. I have no desire to reinvent the wheel on this and feel sure that there must have been some really good work already doone in this field. Unfortunately I have been frustrated in my efforts to obtain some samples by a general reluctance to share documentation from some bodies I have approached directly. I wonder if anyone out there has a half decent policy document with risk assessments for accident, breakdown, loading/unloading, refuelling, jet washing etc etc already complete that they would be willing to share? Many thanks in anticipation Brian McMillan

Posted By Ron Hunter have you guys tried the RoSPA site? I'm sure there are several wheels there that don't need reinventing(or publications you can buy).

Posted By Philip Roberts Brian, I have just tried typing "minibus safety policy" into the Google search engine and come up with a number of policies from schools and universities as well as the Rospa site. This should give you a good stating point for your policy Regards Phil

Posted By Kelvin George Brian If all else fails try your local borough council. Their will have guidance on minibuses for local taxi companies, and seeing as both are for transportation of people then theirs should be more stringent because those passengers are fee paying Cheers Kelvin
