Posted By S Spence Dear all I am an assistant Health and Safety Advisor at an NHS trust. I am looking into the health and safety implications for staff administering Pentamidine. If any of you have any information on the effects of exposure on staff ( such as increased risk of eye and respiratory problems), I would be very grateful for your input. I have contacted the obvious (drug companies,BMA, NHS pharmacies, HIV units etc); if anyone here can suggest any other avenues, I would also be very grateful. Thanks and regards Sara

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Sara Have you tried Google? There seems to be plenty of information out there but I haven't seen any reference to your concerns, yet. Paul

Posted By S Spence Hi Paul Thanks for responding. Yes , I have tried Google which has thrown up some info about the drug itself; I was also looking for more detailed information/experienced administrators' gidelines on which to base care plans for our staff. I shall keep looking....... Regards Sara
