Posted By John Noblet Does anyone know of a manufacturer/supplier of welding headtops but with built in ear defenders? . Employees say that the conventional vizor headtop and separate hearing protection is not comfortable to wear when welding in noisy environments. Thanks for any leads

Posted By Raymond Horan I had a similar problem with welders at my compamy. Couldn`t find a suitable helmet but decided on tailor made in-ear protection. Approx cost was £40pp. The earplugs gave around a 20db reduction and are quite comfortable to wear. Go to www.greenleopard.co.uk for further info. Hope this helps. Ray PS The plugs come in any colour. Flesh is the best- the wife can`t see them!

Posted By Alec Wood The wonderfully named Albatross 3000 from Murex can be fitted with hearing protectors. Have a look at http://tinyurl.com/3y3sr Alec
