Hello,
I have been given the task of developing risk assessments in relation to driving at work. I work for a utility business, where driving is an essential part of our work. Our vehicle fleet consists of cars, vans, tippers, trucks and grab wagons.
I would be grateful if anyone could provide me with advice on how to approach this and if there is any recommended way of how to lay it out.
Any assistance with this matter would be appreciated.
Thank you
Claire

Treat it like any nother risk assessment. What are the risks
What Controls do you have in place
Are those controls sufficient
If not, what else must you do
Obvious controls are checking driving licences regularly. Standards of maint and repair. Look at accident records. etc

The Recently launched Occupational RoadSafety Association website will give you plenty information to go on. As previously responded usual risk assessment principles apply.
