Posted By Alec Wood Simon We manufacture flat-screen monitors now and did CRT ones too until recently. As a corporation we are the world's largest manufacturer of these devices. Can I answer any specific questions? Be aware that CRT monitor technology and design implementation has changed a great deal in the last five years, so avoid anything which relies on old information. Of particular interest from HSE viewpoints will be the TCO'95, TCO'99 and MPR standards being that they relate specifically to emissions, ergonomics and recyclability. Also beware drawing any comparisons with the use of CRT's in televisions since the characterisitics and use of these tubes, and hence their emissions profiles, is very different.
