Posted By Steve Holliday For a DIP 2 assignment on anthropometrics I wish to discuss "Cranfield Man" Does anybody know of the name of the original study? I think it comes from Brown B.L. and Martin J.T.(1977)Human aspects of Man-Machine Systems, Open University Press, Milton Keynes. If anybody knows for sure I would very much appreciate it. Steve

Posted By Robert K Lewis Steve Try this website as a start http://ergo.human.cornel...325pdfs/AnthroDesign.pdf I have a feeling that the early work was done at Loughborough but I could be wrong. I also know that NASA have done some work in this area and have a standard astronaut model!! Car manufacturers are also big in this area - unfortunately they all seem to have a slightly differrent standard driver hence why some cars suite some people but not others. Bob
